It is said that Manchester United will announce Mason Greenwood’s return to the team in the coming week.

Even though the Red Devils said that a final decision hadn’t been made yet, a detailed report from The Athletic said that Manchester United’s Chief Executive, Richard Arnold, told the club’s top staff on August 4 that the England international would be rejoining the team.
Arnold is said to have planned to make a movie to explain the club’s decision. But this news did not come out before the start of the 2023–24 Premier League season.
Greenwood was picked up in January 2022 on suspicion of rape and attack. After that, he was arrested again on charges of sexual abuse and making threats to kill.
The Englishman was also accused of trying to rape a woman, taking part in controlling and forceful behavior, and assaulting the woman to the point where she got hurt. But these charges were dropped in February, so he can get back to work this season.

Thoughts of Greenwood making a loan move have died down, and a permanent move is thought to be a very low probability.
According to The Sun, Manchester United is likely to bring the forward back into the team next week, putting an end to all the rumors with an official statement.
The story says that both Greenwood’s head coach Erik ten Hag and his teammates at Old Trafford back him. Arnold is now thought to be the one who will make the final choice.
Greenwood would not be ready to join the main team at Old Trafford right away because he hasn’t played in a game or trained since January 2022.
So, it is thought that the forward might play for Manchester United’s Under-23 team in the coming months, with the goal of getting back into shape after a long break.
Reports say that Manchester United didn’t say anything about Greenwood until after the Women’s World Cup. On Sunday, England will play Spain in the final.
The forward has played for the 20-time English winners 129 times in his professional career, scoring 35 goals and setting up 12 others.
