Liverpool still wants to sign Ryan Gravenberch, a player for Bayern Munich.
Even though Wataru Endo signed a contract, it turns out that the Reds are still keeping an eye on the young Dutch player as the rebuilding through transfers takes shape late in the window.
If everything goes well, Endo will join Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai as the third midfielder added this summer. But Jurgen Klopp could use one more goal before the end of the season.
The Dutchman is 21, so if he joins Liverpool, he will take the spot in the team for a native player. In a way, his coming would leave an extra spot open for a non-homegrown player, which could be filled in this window or the next.
Aside from that, the former Ajax star is a very skilled midfielder who has had a strange year in Germany. Last season, he didn’t play much for Bayern, which almost seemed unfair.
Technically, he is one of the best young midfielders. Because he is tall and strong, he is very good in fights on and off the ball.
The Dutchman is getting to an age where he can still grow and get better. If Liverpool signs him on a cheap deal, he could play multiple positions in the middle and become a key member of the team for many years.
The 21-year-old has the right skills to finally let the Reds replace the great Georginio Wijnaldum.
