Inside Man Utd tour including Erik ten Hag’s obsession with sweat pads, dummy on training pitch and drones

Another major topic of conversation throughout the trip was manager Erik Ten Hag’s fixation with sweat patches.

On tour, Erik ten Hag was fixated on drones, perspiration, and training dummies.

During their preseason tour in the United States, the Red Devils participated in four friendlies.

Following a victory over Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid both suffered losses.

A young United team was also defeated by Wrexham in a tense match last week.

According to The Telegraph, Ten Hag was eager to introduce a novel nutritional strategy to his team while on the tour.

His United players were made to wear continuous blood glucose monitors while on the tour as they got ready to get certain instructions.

They will wear sweat patches when they go back to England to measure their individual perspiration rates and study their levels of hydration.

The training session continued, but Ten Hag was later seen repositioning one of the teaching mannequins multiple times.

In order to have a better view of his squad during practice, he also closely watched it by using drones to record every session from above.

The 2-0 opening victory over Arsenal, however, was followed by losses to Real Madrid and Dortmund that were not stopped by those drone shots.

Despite the defeats, fans had the opportunity to watch new additions Mason Mount and Andre Onana in action throughout the tour.

In the loss to Dortmund, new goalie Onana drew everyone’s attention with his passing.

Additionally, he was seen criticizing Harry Maguire after the German team wasted an opportunity to score.

With games against Lens and Athletic Bilbao this weekend, United will wrap off their preseason schedule.

On August 14, the Red Devils will host Wolves to open the season.

In the USA, Erik Ten Hag’s attention to detail was evident.
