The 36-year-old, though, unleashed a strong shot from what seemed to be far away just as he appeared to be about to begin one of his signature frenzied, jinking runs. As soon as the ball left his left boot—which was actually a wand—you just knew it was going in.

The Union goalie was easily beaten by the low, well-placed shot that went into the bottom-right corner of the net. A player who consistently proves why he’s one of the best to ever play football scored a goal that was truly fantastic.

As soon as the MLS official account tweeted a footage of the goal, fans rushed to the comments section to honor the icon.
