‘Very good signing for LFC’: Klopp tipped to sign Szoboszlai’s ex-teammate

Don Hutchison has given Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp his support in their effort to acquire Xaver Schlager from RB Leipzig.

Michael Owen praised Dominik Szoboszlai after he made his Premier League debut, therefore Liverpool has already knocked on the German club’s door this summer.

Hutchison has since tweeted that Xaver Schlager would be a “very good signing” for his former team and that he would want to see them sign him.

The 25-year-old, who plays for Austria, is an important part of the Leipzig squad that defeated Bayern Munich on Saturday in the German Super Cup.

Due to the losses of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, Liverpool is in need of midfielders this summer. Even with their presence, the team still needed to strengthen the middle of the field.

You can only imagine the urgency to replace them before the 2023 summer transfer window closes in a few weeks. It doesn’t help that players like Moises Caicedo have rejected them, and Hutchison has spoken his opinion on Schlager.

“Would Be a very good signing for Liverpool,” said Hutchison.

“I’ve liked him for a while. Had Potential at Salzburg/Wolfsburg and has definitely kicked on a Leipzig.”

Liverpool’s summer transfer window so far…

If the Anfield faithful were to rate their window, out of ten, at this point, then it wouldn’t be a surprise if there isn’t a single rating over five.

It has been pretty poor so far and it could yet get worse if the club doesn’t sign new midfield players by the close of play.

Last season, they struggled and failed to secure Champions League football, with their defence coming under serious pressure, well, now that they don’t have that bonafide defensive midfielder in the building, then they will go down the same road this season if they don’t sort their mess out.
