Kepa Arrizabalaga, who first joined Real Madrid on loan from Chelsea, has said he aims to complete a permanent transfer to the Spanish club.
After Thibaut Courtois suffered a major knee injury, Madrid started looking for a replacement and ultimately decided on Kepa, who arrived on Monday in a loan agreement without Madrid’s option to make the move permanent.
Kepa, 28, made it plain he wants to stay in Madrid for the foreseeable future even if his loan agreement has no buy possibility.During a press conference, he was asked if he wanted to stay at Real Madrid at the conclusion of the season. “I really hope Real Madrid will keep me at the end of the season,” he responded. The first day of my assignment is today. We’ll see; we have time.
“Hopefully I can accomplish that with my performance.”
