Mo Salah gives ‘green light’ to join Ittihad Jeddah

Mohamed Salah has reportedly given Ittihad Jeddah the green light to begin negotiations with Liverpool over a potential summer move.

Reports have emerged recently that Saudi giants Ittihad Jeddah are willing to make an offer for Liverpool star Mohamed Salah after exiting the Arab Cup.

The Tigers are said to be keen to table a £60m offer for Salah which would see the Egyptian earn £180m over the period of just two seasons, according to Arriyadiyah.

Despite the lucrative offer, Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas has reassured Liverpool fans that Mohamed Salah is going nowhere, and indeed the Egyptian played the Reds’ opening game of the season against Chelsea.

However, on Monday morning the trend ‘#مطلب_الاتحاديين_صلاح‘, which translates into ‘Ittihad’s fans request is Salah’ became viral as rivals Al-Hilal completed the signing of Neymar from PSG.

Minutes later, it has been seen that Ittihad Jeddah vice president Ahmad Essam Kaaki has started following Mohamed Salah on Instagram to add fuel to the fire.

And it looks like it led to something as Mohamed Salah is reportedly open to a Saudi Arabia switch to become the latest superstar to do so.

The news is according to renowned Qatari news outlet Alkass, which revealed that the Egyptian has given Ittihad Jeddah the green light to start negotiations with Liverpool.

Egyptian journalist Ahmed Shobier had revealed before that there will be escalations in the upcoming few days that might change Salah’s stance on the move to Saudi Arabia.

Mohamed Salah had signed a new three-year contract with Liverpool in July 2022 worth around £350,000 per week.
