Liverpool’s Radar: Pursuing the Signature of Ibrahim Sangare?

Liverpool’s Quest for Reinforcements: Facing a New Battle for Alternative to Caicedo and Lavia

Taking to Twitter, journalist and PSV insider Rik Elfrink claimed that Liverpool want Sangare and he has a roughly £32m release clause, but they face competition for his signature:

“Sangare is therefore in the picture at Bayern and Liverpool and more clubs. How heavy in the picture will become apparent in the short term.

“For PSV it does not matter in terms of revenue: 37.5 million has previously been reported as the price for the clause. Who pays, decides. And PSV has already received Schouten.”

6’3″ Sangare: Liverpool’s Missing Piece for Midfield Dominance

Liverpool’s pursuit of midfield reinforcements has led them to Ibrahim Sangare, a towering presence at 6 foot 3 inches. As the Reds aim to bolster their midfield options, Sangare’s potential addition could provide the perfect blend of defensive prowess and attacking capability.

With the ability to shield the defense and break up opposition plays, Sangare could offer Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Jones, and Elliott more freedom to push forward. Aad de Mos, a former manager of PSV and Ajax, has praised Sangare as an “extraordinary” player, hinting at the potential impact he could have at a top-tier club.

Last season’s stats speak for themselves: in the Europa League, Sangare averaged 3.7 tackles per game, showcasing his relentless defensive work. Yet, he also managed to net five league goals, underscoring his offensive contribution.

While Sangare is an enticing prospect, Liverpool’s ideal scenario would encompass signings of both Sangare and Lavia. This would give Klopp a versatile duo for the No.6 role, while also prioritizing the acquisition of a left-sided center-back, such as Sporting CP’s promising talent Goncalo Inacio—a rumored target to solidify Liverpool’s defense.
