Crazy Man Utd fans chant & wave posters protesting Mason Greenwood’s ‘back to the club’ at first game of the season

FUMING At the opening game of the season, Manchester United supporters are demonstrating against Mason Greenwood’s alleged return to the team.

Before tonight’s Premier League start against Wolves, the protesters made it obvious how angry they were about Greenwood’s possible return.

One female supporter was holding a sign with foul language criticizing the club for not excluding Greenwood’s return.

Don’t let the women’s team make the decision, you spineless, motherless, it said.

In the weeks leading up to the start of United’s season, other people performed protest songs outside Old Trafford.

As anticipated, Greenwood was not included in the starting lineup for the match.

After allegations of assault, attempted rape, and coercive behavior against the 21-year-old striker were dismissed earlier this year, he might rejoin the team.

Since his arrest in January of last year, Greenwood hasn’t participated in any United games.

A group named Female Fans Against Mason Greenwood’s Return urged United to never let him to play again before the season-opening match against Wolves.

“We are urging the club to act honorably,” it read.

For the millions of young boys and girls around the world who look up to our players as heroes and role models, for their fans, for their employers, and for the millions of women whose lives have been ruined by violence and abuse.

“To the club’s decision-makers, keep in mind that this is about more than just football.

“This choice reflects who you are as people, as moral beings, and as individuals.

“Will you support the abusers or the victims? Your actions will be judged by history. A wise choice should be made.

“Man United’s duty of care to its female supporters and personnel must be upheld, according to us female fans.

Show that you have zero tolerance for violence towards women by not allowing Mason Greenwood to rejoin the squad.

After “key witnesses” withdrew, the Crown Prosecution Service abandoned the case against Greenwood in February.

However, the player is still on suspension while United looks into the accusations on its own.

Greenwood’s father Andrew, who was holding the footballer’s newborn baby girl in his arms, was seen watching while his son was photographed last week working out in a park.Top-level talks regarding a potential return to Old Trafford are almost finished, according to an exclusive report from The Sun. Greenwood also has the support of his teammates and manager Erik ten Hag.

He was, however, dealt a severe setback when he was left off the team’s preliminary squad list.
