The former Manchester United player is presently on the mend after rupturing his ACL in January while playing for Melbourne Victory in Australia.
And Nani looks to be in great form, as he began his recuperation with a training session in Portugal.
“The journey may be difficult, but the reward will be well worth it!” he captioned his photo.
“It’s great to be back in Cidade do Futebol for another training session.” “I’m determined to come back stronger!”
Despite the forward’s long-term ailment, several supporters in the comments section wondered why Nani was practicing on the other side of the globe in Portugal rather than in Melbourne.
“Should be training in Melbourne with your CONTRACTED team,” one said.
“Why aren’t you training with @gomvfc [Melbourne Victory]?” said another.
And a third said, “Why don’t you return to Melbourne, where you belong, and ‘focus on coming back stronger’?”
Nani signed a two-year contract with the Australian club last summer after leaving Venezia in Italy.
He played 230 appearances for United before departing in 2015 to join Turkish giants Fenerbahce after a loan stint with Sporting CP in his home Portugal.
