Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo shocked both players and spectators by grabbing an overhit ball during a thrilling match against Getafe.

Araujo made the decision to leap up and capture the overhit cross-field ball while it was still on the field of play. It was an odd incident that has given rise to many jokes on social media. Even stranger was the official’s choice to not issue Araujo a caution despite this obvious handball.

As bizarre as it may seem, Araujo’s decision to catch the ball may have been influenced by the home ball boys’ threat of timewasting.
