‘I’m Still Childish’: ‘Rich Dad’ Odell Beckham Jr. Still Can’t Believe That God Chose Him to be a Parent

Odell Beckham Jr. is thrilled to be returning to the NFL. Since he hobbled out of the SoFi Stadium the day of the Super Bowl, he has been anticipating this time. It wasn’t a particularly horrible week for OBJ, though, since he welcomed his son Zydn on February 17 and still struggles to accept that he is a father.

OBJ has always been a devoted father, and as his family has grown, he has become increasingly visible on his Instagram stories playing with his baby. Even his 1-year-old son wore Lamar Jackson’s #8 jersey for his Instagram post to cutely announce his relocation to the Ravens. However, OBJ said in recent Instagram posts that he is so naive that he finds it hard to comprehend how God could have been a father.

Odell Beckham Jr. Discusses Being a Father

A few days after he received his first Super Bowl ring, OBJ and his fiancée Lauren Woods welcomed a baby son. The biggest event in his life has to have been when he became a father. The Ravens receiver, though, jokingly acknowledged that he occasionally behaves like a toddler in his most recent IG post. One of the post’s carousels read:

My child and I will literally gaze at each other and burst out laughing while I try to reprimand him. I find it hard to believe God picked me to be a parent. Look at me taking care of infantile Jr. while I’m still as childish as h*ll. OBJ displayed his juvenile side in the next slides by uploading a meme that said, “F*ck you,” when the user shakes their head.

Matthew Stafford’s wife Kelly remarked on the post after seeing Odell Beckham Jr. talk about parenting, “I mean bring that little boy is beautiful!” She sent a comment, to which OBJ replied, “@kbstafford89 thx maaaa I misss u folks!!! I wish the young ones well. Kelly and her husband, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, are the parents of four daughters. Kelly and OBJ have a particular bond thanks to his time with the Rams as a receiver.

OBJ Enjoys Being a Father

Odell Beckham Jr. has already discussed parenting in his opinion pieces. Months after the birth of his son Zydn, OBJ expressed how ready he is to be a father and how his new stage of life has changed his perspective on what love is. “I could tell he didn’t know anything about the world when I first met him and looked into his very soulful eyes, which were very similar to mine,” Beckham Jr. said to People. “It’s just happiness and joy.”

One of the wealthiest wide receivers in the NFL, Odell Beckham Jr. is prepared to give his son everything he wants because he is a wealthy parent. OBJ is leaving behind a legacy that his son Zydn would be proud to know about despite his immature behavior.
