UNBELIEVABLE: Moises Caicedo has just informed Liverpool that he only wants to join Chelsea after Klopp confirmed he would join The Kop

Liverpool had £110m deal agreed with Brighton as confirmed by Klopp — but not yet on personal terms.

But recently, according to the latest information from journalist Fabrizio Romano, Caicedo has refused to join The Kop.

Caicedo will not travel to Liverpool in the next hours as Chelsea are now expected to bid again very soon.

The player born in 2001 informed Liverpool directly that he only wanted to join Chelsea in the summer of 2023. The reason was because he had reached a personal agreement with the Blues at the end of May and he respected this.

Chelsea also do not accept the scene of losing Caicedo to Liverpool when they have pursued him throughout the summer transfer window of 2023. In the next few hours, the Blues will make a new offer to convince Brighton to release.

The latest price that Chelsea offers for Caicedo is £ 100 million, less than Liverpool and is losing more than the opponent. The amount the Blues are about to put on the negotiating table will certainly be higher than the £110 million that Liverpool sent to Brighton.

Earlier, coach Jurgen Klopp also admitted that he was not sure whether Liverpool had reached an agreement with Caicedo or not.

“I got told I can confirm the Moisés Caicedo deal is agreed with the club”

“With the player, we will have to see. Medical today? I can’t tell you, I don’t know”.

“We give it a go and the club have really stretched it to be honest”.

The reason Liverpool approached Caicedo was because this summer they let two midfielders Henderson and Fabinho move to Saudi Arabia to play football. According to coach Klopp, he does not want to lose the pair mentioned above but can do nothing to keep them. “Basically, Liverpool’s resources are limited, but not endless.”

Caicedo is an Ecuadorian player who has been playing for Brighton since 2021. Not long ago, Chelsea tried to buy this 21-year-old player for 80 million pounds. This is a huge number, but still nothing compared to the price of 110 million pounds that Liverpool offered. According to Brighton’s board, they will sell Caicedo to the team that bids higher, regardless of the player’s wishes.
