According to reports in French media, Neymar has received an offer from a Los Angeles-based Major League Soccer club.

Lionel Messi’s transfer to Inter Miami has revitalized Major League Soccer. It looked that the league had mostly gone past the blockbuster moves of the past, which, for better or worse, had given it a reputation as a retirement league, and had instead become a developing division for local and South American talent.

ImageAlthough Messi is getting on in years, he is still one of the best players in the world and helped lead Argentina to the World Cup title just eight months ago, making his transfer unique. Inter Miami’s success since signing the 36-year-old has prompted another MLS club to attempt a sensational transfer.

One of the Los Angeles teams has reportedly made an offer to sign Neymar. It was not made clear if the successful newcomers were LAFC or the LA Galaxy, the league’s conventional giant that sparked the tide of superstars arriving to MLS with the signing of David Beckham.

PSG is eager to unload their record signing, therefore rumors of the Brazilian’s departure have surfaced again in recent days. They have supposedly already informed the player that he is no longer needed and are working together to make arrangements for his departure this summer.

Recent reports say that Neymar would be open to making the transition to Saudi Arabia, with Al-Hilal interested in the star despite the fact that the club was not previously interested in signing Neymar.

No one knows if Neymar would be interested in playing in Major League Soccer, but it’s hard to believe he wouldn’t love playing and living in Los Angeles if given the chance. Considering Barcelona’s financial woes and his apparent unwillingness to play in the Saudi Pro League, a move to the United States appears to be the most viable alternative.
