HERE WE GO: Man United agree a deal with Fenerbahce to remove Fred for €15m

According to a tweet from transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Turkish side Fenerbahce have agreed on a deal with Manchester United to sign midfielder Fred.

Medicals will take place soon as and when the player travels. The important bit here is that personal terms are fully agreed between Fenerbahce and Fred.

Romano tweeted just a few hours ago that the Turkish team had made an offer to sign the Brazil international for about €15 million. Once United received the payment they desired for their asset, it seems like this case progressed rapidly.

The Red Devils paid £52 million during a summer transfer window five years ago to acquire Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk.

When Jose Mourinho resigned and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer assumed control in the midst of the 2018–19 season, the 30-year-old was one of the regular starters.

After Erik ten Hag joined the team last summer, the midfielder’s playing time began to fluctuate a little bit more. The arrival of Casemiro, a fellow countryman, did not improve the situation either.

Fred’s tenure as a player for United will be remembered in a number of different ways, assuming all goes as planned and he registers with Fenerbahce soon.

There is no doubt that the player wanted to give everything he had for the team every time he stepped onto the pitch. The issue was that he had some limitations on his game. Once such information is learned while you are on a top team, there is no turning back.

One would think ten Hag realised that drawback and immediately lowered his playing time from the normal level.

We wish the player the best though and hope he has a good time in Turkey.
