CONFIRM: ‘Super striker’ Harry Kane leaves Premier League to join Bayern Munich in £104m transfer

HARRY KANE is set to join Bayern Munich in a £104million transfer, according to reports.

The Bundesliga champions chased the striker all summer before finally having a bid accepted by Tottenham this week.

Harry Kane has agreed to a £94.5million move to Bayern Munich, say reports

Should he leave, Kane will do so as Tottenham’s record scorer

Spurs will receive an initial fee of £86m plus easily-attainable add-ons to round it up to £104m.

It was then up to Kane to decide his future with only one year remaining on his contract – and up until Thursday afternoon, the forward was believed to be keen on staying in North London.

But late on Thursday night, the England captain is reported to have opted to move to Germany and agreed personal terms, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.

Kane, 30, is understood to have penned a four-year deal worth £415,000 a week – more than double his Tottenham earnings.

The striker is allegedly “now waiting for a green light from Tottenham to travel for a medical and to complete the transfer.” according to Ornstein.

According to SunSport, Bayern expects the transfer to be officially approved on Friday.

Kane has one year left on his current Spurs contract and earlier this summer rejected a £400,000 per week extension.

Kane has spent 19 years at the club, arriving at the age of 11. If he leaves, he will go so as the club’s all-time leading scorer.

In 435 games with Spurs, he scored 280 goals, 213 of which came in the Premier League.

His departure from England leaves him 47 goals short of Alan Shearer’s Premier League record of 260 goals.

Before settling on a price, Bayern had three offers rejected by Tottenham, but they were in danger of having their transaction hijacked.

According to reports, an undisclosed club had offered Kane a “significantly better” contract to sign as a free agent the next year.

Kane is anticipated to be introduced in a news conference before Bayern’s inaugural Bundesliga match against Werder Bremen on Friday night sometime next week.

Following the announcement of Kane’s leaving, Spurs fans have gone into hysteria, with many of them shocked the club star has left.
