New Manchester City defender Josko Gvardiol has revealed he is happy to no longer have to face Erling Haaland after conceding five goals for the Norwegian in a game last season

New signing for Manchester City Josko Gvardiol commended Erling Haaland, a teammate, and said he was glad he was no longer playing against him.

52 goals were scored by Haaland in 53 games during his debut season at City, an incredible feat. This featured five goals in one Champions League match against Gvardiol’s RB Leipzig, leading to a 7-0 victory for City.

Haaland, which cost City £78 million to acquire, has “everything to become one of the best in the world,” according to Gvardiol.

We all know what he accomplished last season, and Guardiola offered Erling his congratulations on the City website. Having him on my side is good.

He has all the skills necessary to rank among the best in the world. He is a tough player who is powerful and quick. Fortunately, I’m on his side now, so I’m relieved of that responsibility.
