In Bengals news, Odell Beckham Jr. has made the decision to intensify the rivalry between the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens. La’el Collins might not even be able to make the team in 2023.
Beckham, who played for the Cleveland Browns in 2021 before eventually joining the Los Angeles Rams, predicted a huge performance against the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI. He foresaw a blowout as well.
Beckham had two receptions for a total of 54 yards when he left the game due to injury, as we now know. He appeared to be in complete control during the Rams’ eventual 23-20 victory, and he was on his way to making more catches as well.
I don’t see why Beckham felt the need to publicly state this. Was his team’s victory not sufficient? Does he genuinely want to upset the AFC North champions from the last two years? With this short anecdote, the Bengals-Ravens games this season ought to be even more entertaining.
In other news, La’el Collins was brought to Cincinnati after that Super Bowl defeat in the hopes that he would assist a revamped offensive line get out to a strong start. Collins, regrettably, had an injury late in the regular season and missed the balance of the year. Could he be in danger of losing his job?
What’s hot in Bengals news right now?
If he Were Healthy, Odell Beckham Jr. claims the Rams would defeat the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI. [SI Russ Heltman]
People don’t know what Beckham was genuinely planning to accomplish that day, he recently told Peter King. “I was going to catch 15 balls today, maybe for 250 yards.” The strategy called for me. We would have defeated them 42-17.

Before he was injured, Beckham was playing well, therefore it is absurd for him to say these things now. The match was won by you. You currently wear a Super Bowl ring. Enjoy that and then carry on.
Biggest Names Who Might Be Cut from the 2023 NFL Roster [Kristopher Knox, Bleacher Report]
Collins was one of Knox’s choices on this list, although I’m not sure I agree with his choice. Collins may be cut by the Bengals and they would save some money, but he is now on the PUP list. He’s a good backup option to have when he eventually makes a comeback in case Orlando Brown Jr. or Jonah Williams get hurt. The Bengals’ lack of o-line depth cost them last season, so why eliminate the good depth here?
By the conclusion of the preseason, Collins’ health will be crucial. Although roster spaces for healthy contributors are also desirable, offensive line depth is always important. Collins’ release would free up $7.7 million in 2023 capital budget.
