HERE WE GO: Arsenal reach ‘record’ agreement with David Raya, Aaron Ramsdale immediately sends ‘challenge’ message

Arsenal have finally reached an agreement to sign Brentford goalkeeper David Raya, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The transfers guru understands that the clubs have now struck a deal on a fee for the 27-year-old.

The Gunners had already agreed personal terms with the Spanish stopper earlier this month.

Raya was previously linked with a move to Arsenal’s North London rivals, but is understood to only be interested in a move to the Emirates.

It should be known that Raya’s price is about 30 million pounds, thereby becoming the most expensive goalkeeper in Arsenal history. Before that, they spent £ 23 million to recruit Ramsdale from Sheffield United.

Aaron Ramsdale says he is not worried by Arsenal spending big money to bring David Raya to the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners look set to bring in Brentford’s highly-rated Spanish goalkeeper for a fee in the region of £30m, but Ramsdale believes the competition can only be good to the club.

“Bring it on!” the England star told ITV.

“You know, nothing comes easy in football. I’ve done it to other people when I’ve moved to clubs so I’m not going to be thinking that it’s never going to happen to me

“We’ll fight and make each other the best versions of ourselves because that’s what the manager wants.”

Arsenal surprised when they quietly planned to sign Brentford’s David Raya. The Gunners did so to create competition for Aaron Ramsdale despite the English player’s impressive performance in recent times.
