Since his arrest in January 2022, the England star hasn’t played for United.

He was charged in October, but the Crown Prosecution Service dismissed the allegations in February.

His club is anticipated to decide on his future soon.

Now John Gubba, who runs the Man Utd The Religion YouTube channel, has revealed that Greenwood’s entourage was aggressive toward him as he filmed the training session.

He says he was filming at a “publicly accessible venue with no security” and “away from Manchester United”.

But the filmmaker claims he was approached by a “thug” from Greenwood’s entourage who said: “If you weren’t surrounded by witnesses we would rip that camera out of your hand and destroy your equipment.”

Greenwood, who became a father last month, was joined by his own dad and baby at the public training ground today.

Talks over Greenwood’s future are entering their ‘final phase’

It comes as Manager Erik ten Hag and the majority of the first team have suggested they were open to the idea of bringing the footballer back.

But Man United’s women’s team were understood to have reservations, while sponsors were left concerned about being linked to the footballer.

A source said previously: “All the players believe he deserves a second chance because he’s innocent in the eyes of the law.

“He didn’t have the opportunity to clear his name in court because the charges were dropped, so the players feel like he has been left in limbo.

“They know it will be difficult but they are willing to support him through it and protect him.

“Some of the younger players came through the academy with him so there’s a loyalty to him.”

It is not the first time Greenwood has been spotted training outside of Carrington.

In June he worked on his close control and shooting in a 90-minute session on an £85-an-hour pitch.

A final decision on Greenwood’s next career move is imminent

It was the first time he had been pictured at a training session since his arrest.

Since his last photo, he had grown his hair out and stopped wearing Nike boots because the company had canceled their sponsorship agreement.

Greenwood joined United when he was six years old and rose through the ranks, eventually being frequently chosen for the first squad.

He made history in 2019 when he took the field at age 17, becoming the youngest football player to play for United in the Champions League.

Greenwood has made 129 total appearances and 35 goals for the Red Devils.

Greenwood has been contacted by The Sun for comment.
