Journalist Ryan Taylor revealed coach Mikel Arteta was disappointed with defender Kieran Tierney’s performance in the second half of the match.
In the first half, Kieran Tierney was not permitted to participate. He came on to replace Jurrien Timber in the 76th minute, but he struggled. Ryan Taylor, a journalist, reported that the Arsenal management could not conceal their dissatisfaction with this left-back.
.
Arteta was unsatisfied with Tierney’s performance.
.
Tierney was the one who broke the ball safely leading to Arsenal’s goal in the 77th minute, just a minute after he was on the field.
And yet, Taylor also said that coach Mikel Arteta was frustrated when Tierney then missed a simple pass.
Writing on Twitter, Taylor said: “Mikel Arteta had his back turned and disappointed looking down the field as Kieran Tierney passed the ball out without pressure. The tempo of this game really picked up in the second half so so It’s not an easy game to play but he had a tough supporting role.”
.
Timber received 7 points from Sofascore after 76 minutes of playing against Man City. Obviously with the presence of the Dutch rookie, Tierney’s future is becoming increasingly uncertain, especially in the context of Oleksandr Zinchenko’s return from injury.
