Rasmus Hjlund has committed to Manchester United in a contract that will keep him there through June 2028 with an option to extend it by another year, subject to international clearance.
Only 20 years old, the forward has already scored 27 goals in 87 club games, 10 of which came while playing for Atalanta in Italy previous season. Hjlund has six goals in six senior international games for Denmark.
It is no secret that I have been a fan of this beautiful team since I was a little child, and according to Rasmus Hjlund, I once dreamed of leaving Old Trafford as a Manchester United player.
“I’m incredibly excited about the chance to make that goal a reality, and I’m keen to repay the club’s confidence in me. I know I’m ready to develop and join this group of top athletes, even if it’s still early in my career.
“After talking to the boss, I understood that this environment would be perfect for my development. I’m excited about the prospect of working with one of the best trainers in the world. I know I can do great things with his help, along with my new comrades at this special club.John Murtough, Manchester United’s director of football, said:
Rasmus possesses a skill that is very extraordinary. For his age group, he is one of the best players in the world because to his technical and physical prowess. Working with Erik ten Hag and his instructors will provide Rasmus with the best training environment. Everyone in the group will see to it that he gets the care and support required for him to reach his huge potential.
We moved quickly and firmly to sign our main targets before the transfer market opened during the summer. As a result, Erik and his coaches will have the finest opportunity to get the players motivated to work hard in the exciting forthcoming season.
