Rasmus Hojlund, a striker from Atalanta, has officially signed with Manchester United on a five-year deal.
The 20-year-old has an option for a further year, extending his spell at Old Trafford until 2029. He scored 27 goals in 87 games for the Serie A team and has six goals in six appearances for Denmark.
Hojlund stated on the team website that he has supported Manchester United since he was a young child and that he once dreamed of leaving Old Trafford as a professional.
“I am really delighted about the chance to make that goal come true, and I’m keen to repay the club for their confidence in me.
Even though my career is still in its infancy, I am confident that I am ready to advance and join this team of elite athletes.
