High hopes were present when Arda Guler joined Real Madrid this summer. But that is to be expected from an 18-year-old who goes by the moniker “Turkish Messi.” There were even rumors that the youngster’s training performances upon arrival had astounded the coaching staff and his colleagues.
As a result, it appeared as though Real Madrid’s acquisition of Guler for about €20 million was a stroke of genius. However, the young player was dealt a setback before he even made his club debut.
Guler was unable to participate in any of Real Madrid’s preseason games due to an injury. Additionally, it has been suggested that if things don’t start getting better soon, he might need surgery. Fortunately, it appears that the situation has undergone a positive upgrade.
Guler has finished the first round of his treatment and is doing great, as Mario Cortegana tweeted. Surgery won’t be necessary if he keeps acting this way for the following five to six days.
The sound of it will be pleasant to Real Madrid supporters. Guler is on the right track, so perhaps no surgery is necessary. He would be sidelined for several months following a procedure.
In many respects, this serves as a reminder that Guler should be treated carefully. Although he has a tremendous amount of talent, he is only 18 years old and has never played at this level. One cannot rush his development, which is a mistake.
Guler should occasionally play for the first team, but he shouldn’t be expected to put up large statistics anytime soon. If everything goes as planned with his growth, he will be a crucial member of Real Madrid in time.
