Sadio Mane has completed his stunning move to Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia
But according to the Daily Mail, the German champions only paid Liverpool an upfront fee of £27.5m.
If Mane fulfilled the conditions of specific performance-based add-ons, the remaining £7.5 million would be paid.
But when the Senegalese international joins Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia, where he is expected to earn roughly £650,000 a week, expectations won’t be reached.
He will still fall short of elite salaries in the Gulf, like as Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and Jordan Henderson, an old friend from Liverpool.
Mane spent six years at Anfield, where he scored 120 goals in 269 games, before signing for Bayern last summer in a £35 million deal.
But he was not as prolific in Germany and only managed seven Bundesliga goals last season.
Harry Kane of Tottenham is a major target for manager Thomas Tuchel as he looks to strengthen his team’s offensive capabilities.
It made Mane unnecessary and was thought to be a good way to pay for Kane’s transfer.
His departure coincides with Bayern Munich’s club-record £82 million offer for England’s captain.
The offer follows discussions this week between the German juggernauts and Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
