Arsenal has been highly active in the transfer market, and one of their former players has said that a purchase of Brazilian striker Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain would be ideal.
According to former Arsenal player Julio Baptista, signing Brazilian forward Neymar might be “key” to the Gunners finally winning the Premier League.
The North London team challenged eventual treble champions Manchester City last season but fell short at the line. In preparation for the 2023–24 season, Mikel Arteta and Edu have been working hard to strengthen the team.
Baptista, though, thinks that for the Gunners to succeed this season, a move for PSG star Neymar would be ideal. When GOAL asked Arsenal if they could be interested in signing him on behalf of Gambling Zone, he said, “Why not? One of the top clubs in Europe is Arsenal. We are aware that Arsenal has not produced their best work or been as competitive over the past eight or so years.
“However, Arsenal now have something new with Arteta. They have started to build a strong object. Exactly why not? Perhaps the solution lies in this.
“In Brazil, we say that once you have the house and everything inside of it, all you need is the key to unlock it. Neymar might be Arsenal’s key to unlocking and completing everything. He is a fantastic player.
With the additions of Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, and Jurrien Timber so far this summer, they have already spent almost £200 million. With players like David Raya and Mohammed Kudus allegedly among their objectives, Arsenal may be willing to spend even more.
Although Neymar hasn’t been mentioned in connection with Arsenal as of yet, and a transfer in the coming month is highly improbable, he would join a lengthy list of Brazilian players who have played in North London. Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Marquinhos are all already at the Gunners’ disposal.
In the event that Neymar decides to move this summer, Baptista asserted that the four would aid in his immediate integration into the Emirates. He continued, “Sure. In addition, I believe the league would be beneficial to him. The English league would be the greatest league for him if he were considering moving, in my opinion.
Neymar must make a choice on his future at PSG. He has frequently been mentioned as a player who might leave Parc des Princes. The former Barcelona player, whose current contract has two years left, has previously been linked with Manchester United and Chelsea. PSG, though, might be adamant on keeping him this summer.
Lionel Messi, the World Cup champion, has already left, joining MLS team Inter Miami at the end of his contract. The future of Kylian Mbappe in the French city is likewise clouded by uncertainty.
The forward was predicted to leave the club after refusing to sign a new contract. PSG had accepted a significant financial offer from Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, but Mbappe refused to enter negotiations. Neymar, a five-time Ligue 1 champion, led his team to another domestic title last season with 18 goals and 17 assists across all competitions.
