‘It’s hard to accept when gathering with the England team’ – Man United star declares they will not let Man City have any more trebles

Luke Shaw revealed MU’s feelings after the noisy neighbor Man City won the treble of titles last season.

Man United could not stop rivals Man City from winning the historic treble last season. More painfully, The Citizens defeated the Red Devils in the FA Cup final before winning the UEFA Champions League a few days later.

With three Premier League titles, FA Cup and Champions League, Man City broke Man United’s monopoly with the only treble of English football in 1999.

Sharing with the BBC about how the Man United players feel after the noisy neighbor’s victory, Luke Shaw said: “It really hurt us a lot. All of us, as players MU players feel pain, especially for me, when I meet them at the England team gathering. It’s hard to accept. We can’t let that happen again.”

“Now it’s time for us to make our mark, and we can’t let things be so easy for City. In the past, it was too easy. As a player, we couldn’t accept it. get it happening again”.

Joining United in 2014, Shaw is currently the longest-serving player in United’s first team following the departure of goalkeeper David de Gea. During his 9 years here, Shaw won 4 FA Cups, 1 Europa League and 2 Carabao Cups.

“Obviously it’s not enough. I know. I think the whole club understands that too. To be successful we need to challenge every title and win all competitions. We feel we deserve it. The club can win two more tournaments last season,” Luke Shaw said strongly about Man United’s ambitions.

This summer, Man United have added many quality stars as goalkeeper Andre Onana and midfielder Mason Mount. In addition, striker Rasmus Hojlund is also about to arrive at Old Trafford.
