Fabinho, 29, became the latest star to leave Europe and make the move to the Middle East.

With his transfer to Al-Ittihad, he will team up with players like Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Jota, a former Celtic star, and Ahmed Hegazi, a former West Brom defender.

But his announcement video is undoubtedly the most bizarre, as he is seen being chained up while holding a tiger, a nod to the club’s moniker.

The film also opened with news clips that appeared to be mocking him and implied that his move might have failed because of his dogs.

The Brazilian has two French bulldogs but they were banned in the country, however, it appears that a solution has been found.

At the end of the video, it cuts to Fabinho, who says: “I am tiger.”

And fans have been left perplexed by the announcement on social media.

One Tweeted: “What’s with the tiger? Have we sold Fabinho to the circus?”

A second commented: “Fabinho casually standing next to a tiger in his announcement video for Al-Ittithad.”

A third wrote: “Fabinho has signed for Al-Ittihad, but the real story here… what in the tiger is going on?”

A fourth said: “If that’s a real tiger the Saudis are getting me to hold and I am Fabinho I am telling them they need to add a couple more zeros to those weekly wages.”

While a fifth joked: “Fabinho taking a tiger for a stroll wasn’t something I expected to see today but here we are.”

Fabinho has also joined Jordan Henderson in swapping Liverpool for Saudi – with the Reds undergoing an unexpected midfield overhaul after receiving lucrative offers from the Saudi League.
