Julio Baptista has claimed that Arsenal should sign Neymar

He thinks the Brazilian would be ‘key’ for the Gunners

Neymar, 31, is one of the players that the Ligue 1 club are believed to be willing to cash in on this summer.

And Baptista believes that the Gunners should make a move for the Brazilian.

He told Goal: “I think Neymar is comfortable at PSG, but maybe the best move for him is to create a new atmosphere at a new club – maybe a club that supports him and gives him all the confidence that he needs. He doesn’t have that at PSG.

“The fans don’t like him a lot and maybe it is time to move on and try something different.

“Why not? Arsenal is one of the best clubs in Europe. We know that the last eight or so years, Arsenal have not produced their best or been as competitive.

“But now, with Arteta, Arsenal have something different. They have started to construct something powerful. Why not? Maybe this could be the key.

“In Brazil we say that you have the house, you have everything, and you just need the key to open it.

“Maybe Neymar is the key to open and complete everything at Arsenal. He is an incredible player.”

Ney on Twitter: "🚨 Football London Gilberto Silva (ex-Arsenal star) has urged Neymar to turn down other transfer offers in the hope of signing for Arsenal in the next summer window. 🇧🇷🌟

Neymar would be met by some familiar faces if he moved to the Emirates, including Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, and Gabriel Magalhaes, who he is acquainted with from the Brazil team.

The Brazilian would provide head coach Mikel Arteta another frontline attacking option.

He has also been linked to transfers to Chelsea, Saudi Arabia, and a comeback to Barcelona this summer.

If Neymar relocated to Saudi Arabia, where Al-Hilal is said to be planning a £38 million offer for the Brazilian, he might earn £172 million annually, per sources.

PSG is said to be considering selling the forward because of his £22 million season pay.

Transferring Neymar would allay the French club’s worries over Financial Fair Play regulations.

Additionally, because Messi’s and his home were both attacked by ultras in May, it would ease tensions with the fan base.ase since in May, ultras targeted both his home and Messi’s.
