Arsenal are considering a move for David Raya
The Gunners want competition for Aaron Ramsdale
The Athletic reports that the Gunners are currently thinking about making a move for the 27-year-old.
According to the article, Raya is more interested in moving to the Emirates, where he would reunite with former Bees goalkeeping coach Inaki Cana.
The Spaniard has long been a favorite of Arsenal, and with his contract set to expire in the summer of 2019, Brentford is willing to trade for the appropriate price.
Although there is interest, the North London team has not yet submitted a bid.
Bayern Munich is also interested in Raya, but it’s thought that they would prefer a loan transfer.
Raya would be a tremendous asset to Arsenal’s team due to his Premier League experience, and one of his strengths is his ability to play out from the back.
Due to this, conversations over his signing earlier in the summer took place between Manchester United and Tottenham.
But in the end, after SunSport revealed they had been offered £40 million each, both chose Andre Onana and Guglielmo Vicario.
It occurs at the same time as Mikel Arteta’s attempts to sign Aaron Ramsdale’s competitors.
Matt Turner is being eyed up by Nottingham Forest
This is due to Nottingham Forest’s consideration of No. 2 Matt Turner, 29, for a move of his own.
The two sides’ assessments of the American, however, are believed to differ somewhat.
Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber, and Declan Rice have already cost Arsenal a combined £200 million, with the last signing for a club record £105 million.
