LIVERPOOL have sensationally opened talks to sign Kylian Mbappe, according to reports.

Mbappe’s future at Paris Saint-Germain is shrouded in doubt after the Frenchman announced he would not sign a new deal at the club.

Mbappe was offered incredible wages to head to Saudi Arabia

Real Madrid and Saudi Arabia are interested in PSG’s star player as they try to avoid losing him for free next summer.

They already turned down Al-Hilal’s eye-watering offer of £259 million, which would have broken the transfer fee world record.

Despite the enormous salaries they were willing to pay him, Mbappe is thought to have no interest in moving to the Middle East.

Mbappe has also been removed from PSG’s preseason tour due to his disagreements with his team.

According to some rumors, if the standoff continues, he might decide to skip the entire season.

However, the Mirror say Liverpool are ready to offer a solution.

The Reds are said to be willing to hand Mbappe a PSG escape route for just one season.

It is claimed Jurgen Klopp’s Reds will propose to take him on loan for a year until his contract expires.

In exchange for Mbappe’s ability to pursue his dream move to Madrid in 12 months, a deal of this kind would allow PSG to make some money and possibly pay Mbappe’s salaries.

Additionally, it would undoubtedly improve the caliber of Liverpool’s front line as they strive to qualify for the Champions League again the following year.

A trade is perhaps not as unlikely as it seems because Mbappe’s mother and agent, Fayza Lamari, is rumored to be a die-hard Liverpool supporter.

Mbappe acknowledged last year that, while still at Monaco, he had discussed potential transfers with Klopp and Liverpool.

He told the Telegraph: “We talked a little bit, but not too much.

“I talked to Liverpool because it’s the favourite club of my mum, my mum loves Liverpool.

“I don’t know why, you will have to ask her! It’s a good club and we met them five years ago. When I was in Monaco I met them. It’s a big club.”

Regardless, PSG appear to have found their Mbappe replacement in the form of compatriot Ousmane Dembele.

However, reports suggest the £43m deal needs to be completed in the next few days before his price tag doubles to £86m.
