This is definitely how a weekend should start.
On Thursday, newly-promoted Inter Miami CF star Lionel Messi joined David Beckham and his wife Victoria Beckham for dinner at Miami’s Gekk. David Grutman, a restaurateur, and Bad Bunny share ownership of the hotspot.
Victoria shared pictures from the event on Instagram on Friday, including a group photo with the Beckhams, Messi, David, and Isabela Grutman, as well as Inter Miami teammates Sergio Busquets and Elena Galera and Jorge Mas and his wife Aleyda Mas.
In a different Instagram photo, Messi, Busquets, and Victoria’s spouse were all smiling and looking directly at the camera.
Late on Thursday night, the star-studded party was spotted dining together and leaving at the same time as they were met by patrons and paparazzi outside the restaurant.
Gekk (Japanese meaning “moonlight”) was founded by Bad Bunny and Grutman in the summer of 2022 and is situated in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood. The Japanese steakhouse features a sushi bar in the shape of a U, velvet-draped booths, and artwork, including a dragon mural that looks out over the dining area.
The raw sushi and sashimi options on Gekk’s menu blend elements of Japanese cuisine and a classic steakhouse. Bad Bunny’s favorite lobster fried rice, an olive-fed filet mignon, and chilled oysters with watermelon granita are some of the menu’s highlights.
Puerto Rican-born Bad Bunny stated that he opened his first restaurant in Miami because “the culture reminds me of home.”
In addition to Messi and the Beckhams, Eva Longoria, Kaia Gerber, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, J Balvin, Lil Wayne, Derek Jeter, Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston, Kim Kardashian, and Tristan Thompson have all been photographed at the restaurant in the past.

Meanwhile, Messi, who recently signed a contract with Inter Miami and won the 2022 World Cup while representing Argentina, teamed up with Hard Rock to create a new sandwich named “Made For You by Leo Messi.” It features thinly sliced provolone cheese, fresh arugula, tomatoes, and chicken cutlets with herb aioli. The celebrity said of the sandwich in a statement: “I can’t wait for my fans all over the world to get a taste of one of my childhood favorites that still makes me feel at home, wherever I am.”
