Leaving the country of the flag, Arsenal fans could not help but worry because of the dilapidated personnel situation of the home team. Accordingly, Mikel Arteta confirmed 3 cases of injury: Declan Rice, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Folarin Balogun.

Rice was revealed to have had to bandage his calf on Tuesday, which prevented him from playing against Barca. Arteta shared about the British rookie:

“Rice made a pretty good push in training but we didn’t want to take the risk. Rice wasn’t really comfortable in training yesterday or today.”

Meanwhile, Zinchenko is undergoing treatment for a muscle injury and this is why he did not participate in any matches during his tour of the US. Arsenal captain confirmed:

“Unfortunately Zinchenko has a bit of a muscle problem. I think he will be back soon but unfortunately he did not play in the US tour.”

Finally, Balogun, who has a leg injury, has recently had to practice alone. On whether the American striker will play any role at Arsenal this season, Arteta said:

“Yes but first he needs to be fit and ready to play in a few minutes.”
