‘I’ve been working hard’ – Odell Beckham Jr. has a new look that’s built for grind of long season

Beckham gets a fresh body as he prepares for a successful 2023 season.

The Baltimore Ravens weren’t surprised by Odell Beckham Jr.’s new appearance during training camp as he started Year 10 of his NFL career. They were taken aback because they hadn’t seen Beckham frequently over the previous few months.

Although Beckham’s hair was a light purple tint to match his new team’s colors, it wasn’t the area of his body that was being debated. Beckham appears much lighter than the 197 pounds the Ravens claim in their media guide.

“Just enough. I’m not sure exactly. How much do you weigh, 180? asked someone. Beckham told journalists on Thursday. I found it to be amusing because I’m not even close to 180. I’ve put forth a lot of effort.

Over the past year, Beckham has experienced a lot of emotional turmoil. Beckham missed the whole 2022 season as he worked to rehabilitate his body and psyche after tearing his ACL after a Super Bowl LVI victory. The Ravens were the ideal choice for Beckham’s next team since the wide receiver, a former Pro Bowler, is keen to regain the form that made him one of the greatest in the league.

Like I said, it took a lot of effort on my part before I could even step back onto the field and compete with the best in the world, according to Beckham. “I have to play against a really excellent defense every day for us, so I have no doubt that they won’t be able to get me straight.

“Marlon Humphrey is an All-Pro corner for you. Kyle Hamilton and Marcus Williams, two safeties who are likely to make the All-Pro team, are present. linebackers, D-line. It meets all of your requirements for a defense. They are also physical, quick, and tough. It just poses a problem, and that problem exists every day.

But that’s why I mentioned that I was confident that training against this defense would help me improve.

Beckham has the correct attitude and wants to finish everything by September. Training camp is not the time to peak, as Beckham seeks to gradually improve over the hot, summer months.

“It’s about a gradual peak,” Beckham said. “If you’re ready to play a game in minicamp, when does that slope going to start to turn downwards? I’m just happy to be able, you know …. It was a lot of work from going two- three-a-days, going from a gym to a field, to lunch, to working out, to recovering. I’m just happy that you see it.”
