Talking to Caughtoffside, journalist Fabrizio Romano gave an update on the future of two Arsenal players.
As reveɑled by Fabrizio Romano, if a really attractive offer is received, Arsenal will consider the decision to sell Kieran Tierney. Meanwhile, young talent Charlie Patino is also standing at the door leaving the Emirates.
The Italian journalist shared:
“Kieran Tierney – The story about this player has been a bit quiet, but it is still a deal worth watching this transfer window. For now, things are quiet, but that could change. Arsenal have no plans to sell Tierney, they will only consider this option if they receive an important offer.”
“Charlie Patino – Another deal that went quiet after initial reports. To my knowledge, Arsenal are receiving offers to borrow Charlie Patino, but the player wants to leave long-term. And of course, it will include a buyback option for Arsenal in the contract.”
“Currently, there is no advanced or close-to-close agreement. To be honest, I think signing Patino would be a very smart choice for some clubs, so let’s see who buys him.”
Kieran Tierney joined Arsenal from Celtic in 2019 and has made 123 Premier League appearances. The Scot made 36 appearances last season, but Oleksandr Zinchenko has become Arteta’s first choice at left-back.
The Scotsman could leave this summer, but he admits he himself is uncertain about his future.
Tierney still has a contract with Arsenal until 2026. Although not considered the number one defender, Tierney still has a place in Arteta’s plans at the Emirates Stadium.
