He has been given the No10 shirt

Henderson posed wearing the green uniform of his new team, and he was assigned an unexpected squad number.

In Saudi Arabia, he will sport the No. 10 shirt.

Throughout his 12-year career with the club, the former Liverpool captain sported No. 14 at Anfield.

Additionally, he frequently wore No. 8 for England.

Henderson could not take the No14 as it is already taken by Darko Velkovski and the No8 is worn by Hamed Al-Ghamdi.

However, it is not his first time pulling on a kit with No10 on the back as it was his shirt during his final season at Sunderland before he joined Liverpool.

Henderson has signed a three-year deal at Al-Ettifaq and is set to earn a whopping £700,000-a-week.

If he stays in Dammam until the end of his contract, he will become the highest-paid English football player in history and receive £36 million.

By selling their captain, Liverpool reportedly pocketed £12 million.

This summer, Moussa Dembele from Lyon and Jack Hendry from Club Brugge have already joined Al-Ettifaq, who finished seventh in the Pro League standings the previous season.

Henderson’s Liverpool teammate Roberto Firmino has joined Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia.

Another midfielder, Fabinho, is virtually certainly going to sign for Al-Ittihad.
