99,99% deal done, Man Utd reached ‘final talk’ with ‘Casemiro 2.0’

Sofyan Amrabat is expected to join Manchester United this summer and become the team’s third acquisition, according to the Moroccan press.

According to Moroccan journalist Izem Anass, Man United and Fiorentina have agreed a transfer agreement for Amrabat. The schedule of the player’s medical exams has also been planned.

Amrabat joined Fiorentina from Club Brugge in 2020 and is under contract there till June 2024. He caught the attention of the big boys with a stunning World Cup performance for Morocco in 2022.

The two teams that get contacted the most are Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. However, it appears like Man United is the winner after coming to an individual understanding with this player from the previous week. The transfer fee with Fiorentina, which has already been set at 30 million euros (£26 million), is the last obstacle.

Amrabat joined Feyenoord after beginning his professional career in the Netherlands with Utrecht. After that, he went to Club Brugge and eventually signed with Fiorentina.

Amrabat would become Man United’s third summer addition if he were to sign a contract, joining Andre Onana and Mason Mount.

Erik ten Hag, the head coach, will make every effort to find a new striker after this transaction is complete. Rasmus Hojlund of Atlanta is the primary goal for the Dutch instructor.
