Jude Bellingham Named Man of the Match in Thrilling Game Against Man Utd

On his Manchester United debut, Andre Onana was chipped by Jude Bellingham, as the long-term midfield target made his debut for new club Real Madrid in Houston.

Manchester United had sought for years to sign Jude Bellingham. They can only watch in dismay as he begins a new chapter with Real Madrid.

The England international wasted no time in reminding the Red Devils of what they’re missing out on now that he’s joined the Spanish giants. When Bellingham’s reminder came at the expense of his newest recruit, Andre Onana, Erik ten Hag was struck a double low.

In just six minutes, Bellingham scored his first goal for Real Madrid in a friendly against Manchester United in Houston. He made Onana look foolish only six minutes into his debut with a beautiful chip over the goalkeeper.

After arguing to officials that Bellingham was offside, Onana became agitated. Replays appeared to suggest that Onana had a point because Bellingham appeared to be offside, but the new goalkeeper was still caught off guard with a bad mistake that set back his United career.

The goal came with United down by ten minutes. Kobbie Mainoo, a teenage midfielder who had a fantastic performance against Arsenal, had previously been involved in an unfortunate incident with Rodrygo momnts.

He needed medical assistance to get off the field because he was in too much pain to continue. Christian Eriksen eventually took his place, but the Danish star was still warming up and getting ready to make his debut when Bellingham scored.

While it was a moment Onana will never forget, his new employer had psyched him up before the game.

“He integrated, and he knows how we want to play,” Ten Hag told MUTV. “He’s at ease with himself and the squad.”

Meanwhile, Bellingham was ecstatic with his well-executed goal, which came after a straightforward move in behind United’s center-backs and was found by Antonio Rudiger.

Bellingham has taken over the iconic No. 5 shirt worn by Zinedine Zidane and has quickly established himself in a star-studded midfield that features Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Aurelien Tchouamni, and Eduardo Camavinga.

When it was announced last month, Bellingham explained his decision to join: “The exact moment [I decided to join] is difficult to say,” Bellingham told reporters. “I was at the Liverpool final… “”It was a combination of factors,” he explained, adding that winning was a “huge factor” in his decision.

“I was always aware [of Real Madrid’s interest], but the tipping point came when my father told me that Madrid had inquired about me,” he continued. “I didn’t expect it”

“Money isn’t that important to me; I never consider it when making these kinds of decisions,” he explained. “My favorite sport to watch is football.”
