The impressive Real Madrid team defeated Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United team 2-0, handing them their second loss in as many days.

Jude Bellingham, a star player for England, gave the Spanish giants the lead early with a lovely chip, and Joselu, a former Stoke City player, completed the triumph in Houston with an incredible overhead kick.

Jadon Sancho, who came on and battled off the bench, and Marcus Rashford, who were leading the line, had a difficult night as United labored in the final third.

In spite of the two goals he allowed on his United debut, Andre Onana demonstrated that he still has plenty of energy as Ten Hag’s new starting goalie.

Chris Wheeler of Mail Sport was present to evaluate the United players.

ANDRE ONANA 6.5

Despite being defeated by Bellingham less than six minutes into his debut and having no opportunity to stop Joselu’s second, he still made a few nice saves and did more than enough with the ball in his possession to demonstrate what he would contribute to United.

had his hands full with Real’s speed and Bellingham’s threat down the left, and at one point in the first half, Vinicius Junior bamboozled him.

stepped up to attempt to play Bellingham offside and failed, allowing Real Madrid’s new £115 million player to score the goal.

LISANDRO MARTINEZ 6

A second unsportsmanlike challenge, this time on Bellingham before halftime, results in another game’s worth of bookings. embodies Ten Hag’s assertion that there are no allies.

LUKE SHAW 6.5

Before being one of nine United players substituted shortly after the hour mark, he had a good battle with Luka Modric and made good progress forward.

CASEMIRO 5.5 

Against his previous team in preseason, returned to United’s starting lineup for the first time but is still getting back up to speed.

KOBBIE MAINOO 5

Teenager was given the start once more but had to go after two minutes due to injury.

BRUNO FERNANDES 6.5

played with Mount, a recent signing, on the right before switching to the No. 10 position in the second half. forced goalkeeper Andriy Lunin to make a quick, close-range save.

MASON MOUNT 7

Played the No. 10 position, came close to tying the score from closer range, and delivered perhaps the game’s best tackle with a recovery challenge on Tchouameni.

ALEJANDRO GARNACHO 7 

On his first preseason start, he appeared energized and wasn’t hesitant to shoot on sight a few times.

MARCUS RASHFORD 5.5

Rashford is still working his way through the gears and found it difficult to make an impact here, similar to the majority of United’s foreign players who resumed training a little later.
