Following a crushing tackle on Jude Bellingham, Lisandro Martinez has started yet another altercation.
After flattening Real Madrid’s newest acquisition with a vicious two-footed challenge, the Argentinian was given a yellow card.
The challenge wasn’t well received by the Madrid players, who soon stepped in to support their new teammate.
Following the challenge, there was some pushing and shoving, and the World Cup winner was given a booking by the referee.
Following the challenge, the midfielder jumped up, and the referee did well to diffuse the situation.
After Martinez made a crushing tackle on Bukayo Saka during the weekend match between Manchester United and Arsenal, similar situations occurred.
The Argentine defender showed up to his reputation for being aggressive and enjoying physical confrontation when he ran right through Saka.
Saka was fully knocked out when Martinez flew into the tackle after winning the initial ball. The England international gave him a light shove as he was sitting up, but Martin Odegaard, his captain, rushed over to challenge Martinez and swiftly got him a yellow card.
Things appeared to be about to get out of hand, but they were stopped in their tracks. However, the tackle received a ton of online criticism, with Martinez receiving the brunt of it.
After his tackle on Bellingham, the crowd reacted in a similar way.
A supporter remarked, “Imo no need for this in a preseason friendly.”
“Lisandro Martnez you’re a filthy player,” one person commented.
In the words of a third, “Lisandro Martinez actually has the small man syndrome lol, man relax it’s just a friendly.”
