It appears the couple are willing to call off the move to ensure they are not separated from their beloved pets

Fabinho and his wife have two French bulldogs and the midfielder would like to have clarity on whether he can bring his two beloved pets into the country before completing a move.

A leaked Saudi Arabian document circulating on Twitter suggested that the breed is banned in the country due to being on a list of “dangerous and aggressive” dogs.

The list can be circumvented however if the dogs are to be used for hunting, serving as a guard dog or if they are seeing dogs for the blind.

According to sources, the contract is in danger of failing since Fabinho is reportedly willing to walk away if his canines are not permitted to accompany him to Saudi Arabia.

Fabinho £40m transfer to Al Ittihad blasted as 'stupid' and 'sad' by ex-Chelsea defender - Liverpool Echo

This comes after Al-Ittihad made Fabinho an offer to join the team for £425,000 a week.

The midfielder’s current Liverpool contract pays him £180,000 per week.

Al-Ittihad is eager to move forward with a contract and was in London this past weekend to achieve consensus among all stakeholders.

Fabinho would be the most recent prominent talent to join Al-Ittihad if a dog allowance is approved.

N’Golo Kante of Chelsea and Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema have so far joined the Saudi champions’ roster.

Last month, they also managed to capture Celtic star Jota.

With the midfielder having won the Champions League, league title, Carabao Cup, and FA Cup while playing for Liverpool, Fabinho would signify another victory for the team.

Jordan Henderson would follow Fabinho in leaving Liverpool for Saudi Arabia as the Reds underwent an unexpected midfield revamp in response to lucrative offers from the Saudi Championship.
