Ilkay Gundogan has sent a message of reassurance to Barcelona fans ahead of the team’s scheduled friendly against Arsenal in midweek.
The Catalans were forced to cancel the first game of their US tour against Juventus due to illness, but Gundogan says the players are looking forward to facing the Gunners.
“Hey Culers. We are here, we are in Los Angeles. We are very excited to play against Arsenal,” he said. “We will stand ready and hope for your support.”
Barcelona also posted a positive update on the team’s health. Xavi’s side confirmed the players were feeling better and there were no more cases of illness in the team.
The Catalan team will meet Arsenal and then the match against Real Madrid. After missing the Juve game, Xavi and his players will now catch up a bit as they readjust their preparations for the new season.
