Al Nassr wants to take advantage of the uncertainty over Ousmane Dembele’s future at Camp Nou to trigger a release clause in his current contract of 50 million euros (£43 million/$56 million). After having Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcelo Brozovic (former Inter Milan midfielder), this rich Saudi Arabian club is willing to pay Ousmane Dembele 40 million euros per season in a five-year contract.

However, the 26-year-old French winger still wants to stay with Barcelona and is hoping the Catalan club makes an offer to extend his contract.

Barcelona also wants to extend Ousmane Dembele’s contract and raise his release level higher. Collecting 222 million euros by selling Neymar to PSG, Barcelona signed Ousmane Dembele from Borussia Dortmund in 2017 for a fee believed to be 145 million euros. Due to his susceptibility to injuries, Dembele has made only 185 appearances and has scored 40 goals in the past six seasons at Barcelona.

Recently, Al Nassr successfully signed left-back Alex Telles from Manchester United.

The Old Trafford club announced: “Alex Telles has completed his move from Manchester United to Al Nassr. The 30-year-old full-back joins the Saudi Pro League side after 50 first-team appearances for Manchester United.”
