Lionel Messi shows why he is the greatest player and brings David Beckham to tears

In tears as he watched Lionel Messi score a fantastic free-kick winner on his club debut was David Beckham, a co-owner of Inter Miami.

When Miami faced Cruz Azul in the Leagues Cup, the World Cup winner made his Miami debut.

The 20,000+ people in the DRV PNK Stadium cheered enthusiastically as he took the field in the 53rd minute.

With a polished performance, the 36-year-old proved to the crowd that he is still the football GOAT even though he plays in the MLS.

However, the young magician’s theatrical debut couldn’t have come at a better time for fans.

The Englishman was moved by this incident, despite the fɑct that he was all too used to curling a shot into the top corner in the final seconds of a game.

Following the game, Beckham and Messi exchanged hugs on the sidelines.

One of the greatest competitors in history experienced a genuine “I was there” moment.

Former Barcelona teammate Sergio Busquets followed him to Miami and also made his professional debut.

Cries of “Messi, Messi, Messi” could be heard throughout the stadium as supporters finally saw the moment they had all been waiting to watch.

Messi made the choice to move to the United States this summer with the help of Beckham, who is also a co-owner of Inter Miami. Beckham cut a happy figure in the stands with his family.

Even Beckham, one of the greatest free-kick shooters of all time, was impressed by Messi’s performance.

Referee Hector Martinez blew the final whistle shortly after, and TV cameras caught Beckham appearing emotional and shaking his head in disbelief before turning to face his wife Victoria.
