It’s time: Chelsea officially has taken newest action to confirm Neymar is their next rookie

The star of Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar, who has been linked to Chelsea this summer (Evening Standard), has finally stated where he will play football in 2023–24.

The Brazilian had another difficult season in 2022–23, and while contributing to the goals and assists totals (15 and 13, according to BBC Sport), he was still the target of a campaign by the club’s fans (via Goal).

Back in May, when the club’s supporters converged on his property and demanded the Brazilian go, it seemed conceivable that Neymar would grant their request.

His feelings have now evolved to the point where he will be wearing the PSG shirt again next season, it would seem that time is a great healer.

“I have a contract with Paris, and I expect to play this season at PSG. Nobody has given me any information up to this point, he told CazeTV (via Evening Standard).

“Even though there is not much affection between the fans and the player, I am cool. With or without love, I shall be there.

Neymar’s decision to remain may reveal more about the European teams that refused to pay his outrageous wage – €56.3 million annually, according to Capology – than it may do about the player’s personal wish to go.

While Neymar’s former teammate Lionel Messi, who played for Barcelona and PSG, found a home with Inter Miami, Neymar was left high and dry and with no other options.

Therefore, this marriage of convenience won’t result in divorce just yet, like it or lump it on both sides.
