In the summer, Liverpool did well by signing two elite midfielders. Now, though, it appears that two more might be leaving Anfield.
To replace the midfielders whose contracts expired, the Reds have signed Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.
Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, two prominent Liverpool players, could be on the move soon due to interest from Saudi Pro League teams.
Fabrizio Romano took to Twitter earlier this week to declare “here we go” on Henderson to Saudi Pro League outfit Al Ettifaq.
Meanwhile, Fabinho is apparently closing in on a move to Al Ittihad. Liverpool are seemingly wanting to finalise the deal soon.
However, Sky Sport Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has reported of a potential late twist.
Namely, that Bayern Munich are monitoring the Fabinho situation closely and are ready to pounce.
Here’s what Plettenberg wrote on Twitter about the £180,000-a-week star:
Liverpool appears to have come to terms with the fact that Fabinho will be moving this summer.
The Reds will most likely only seek advantageous terms in terms of the transfer money and structure no matter where he goes.
Regarding Fabinho, it is unclear whether Bayern will be able to turn his head or if he will become the newest top recruit in the Saudi Pro League.
Really, it’s not an awful decision to have to make. Either a very expensive deal in a league that is adding players at an alarming rate, or a position at Germany’s strongest club, where several titles may be won year.
