The Ligue 1 champions of Paris Saint-Germain have reunited for the first day of preseason training, and Neymar has returned to the team.

It happens after the Brazilian missed most of the previous season due to an ankle problem that required surgery. This is one of the worst injuries the 31-year-old has experienced during his stay at the Parc des Princes.

After missing the most of the previous season due to an ankle injury, Neymar has returned to Paris Saint-Germain training today in an effort to make a comeback.

At the PSG training camp in preparation for the preseason, the Brazilian had a number of medical exams today. On PSGTV, he appeared upbeat and was shown saying hi to people as he walked around the training facility.

He was unable to participate in PSG’s Champions League round of 16 second leg match against Bayern Munich due to a soft tissue injury, which the Parisians ultimately lost 2-0.

There has been some discussion over whether he will remain in Paris as well, with rumors growing that he may be attempting to return to Barcelona.

Similar to Kylian Mbappe, who has caused a stir at the club amid rumors he may depart, his contract in Paris expires in 2025, but he does have the option to extend it by another year.

Despite this, the Parisian team welcomed back its playing group, with Neymar coming back to the practice field to get a checkup and receive physiotherapy.

The team was examined by club medical professionals before some of them were put to the test in the gym, as shown in photos uploaded online by the club.

Neymar hasn’t played since February 2022 due to ankle ligament damage.

At Lille in Ligue 1, the Brazilian was carried off the field on a stretcher.

Neymar, a striker for the Parisians who scored 13 goals in 20 games, was spotted undergoing a number of tests, including physiotherapy on one of his legs.

Now that Luis Enrique, his former Barcelona coach, has been named the new manager of PSG, he will be reunited with him.

A few fresh faces were also spotted at the practice field, including freshly signed players Lucas Hernandez and Manuel Ugarte.

The defending French champions will now spend the rest of the week readjusting before departing for a preseason competition in Japan.
