Andre Onana has finally acquired a Manchester United jersey, and it was accomplished in a short period of time.
This evening, just after the Red Devils released the official statement that the Cameroonian had successfully completed a move to the club, Fabrizio Romano shared the picture on his social media accounts.
Onana, 27, committed to a five-year deal with a one-season extension option, keeping him at Old Trafford through 2028.
Unexpectedly, he declined to accept the No. 1 spot that became available after David de Gea left. Instead, he went with the shirt number 24, which he had worn for both Ajax and Inter Milan.
Check out the newest rookie for Erik Ten Hag, who is displaying his new costume with pride. Onana’s transfer to Manchester United most definitely takes time. It is the result of the constant effort he has put out over the course of his career. There were numerous challenges, but as he noted, “To join Manchester United is an unbelievable honor.” It will be a significant turning point in his career when he makes his United debut.
He announced, “The start of a new journey, with new teammates and new goals to strive for.”
