On Thursday, Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones will report to the Liverpool training camp.
Jones and Elliott played for the England U21 team that recently won the U21 European Championship. After closing the previous season with the Reds on a high note, the former was selected to the tournament’s best XI as he maintained his excellent form.
Both players should arrive with a spring in their step, not just because they just won a major international competition, but also because the upcoming season may offer them more playing time.

While Jordan Henderson, the team’s captain, might be his route to Al-Ettifaq, Fabinho is almost certainly going to join Al-Ittihad.
The door is now open for Jones and Elliott to push their claim for regular game time next season, regardless of what Liverpool does in the market to replace the senior pair.
A spot in one of the number eight positions might become available if Jurgen Klopp deploys new acquisition Alexis Mac Allister in defensive midfield.
Jones will be joined by Harvey Elliott as their preseason training camps begin on Thursday.
Jones may start when the regular season begins in the second week of August after notably impressing in the latter half of last year as a left-sided midfielder in the new hybrid system.
Right now, everything works in the 22-year-old’s favor. He is in the ideal age and physical condition to join the team and never leave it.
Elliott should anticipate at least some game time in the Europa League since that league will be played next season.
