Following Lionel Messi’s move to Inter Miami, Cristiano Ronaldo asserts that the ‘Saudi league is better than MLS, exception of the Premier League

The Saudi Pro League, according to Cristiano Ronaldo, “is better than the MLS,” just one day after US team Inter Miami unveiled Lionel Messi.

After it was announced earlier this summer that the Argentine would be joining the Florida-based team on a £45 million-per-year deal, the player was presented with his new club shirt during the unveiling event on Sunday.

One of the first well-known athletes to arrive in Saudi Arabia was Ronaldo, who signed a £175 million per year contract with Al-Nassr after leaving Manchester United last season.

Many more players have since followed him to the Middle Eastern nation, including Steven Gerrard, Karim Benzema, and N’Golo Kante.

Ronaldo, a five-time winner of the Ballon d’Or, recently announced that he would stay in Saudi Arabia for the following season, but he has been connected with a move back to Europe and his old team Real Madrid.

Just one day after Lionel Messi was introduced by Inter Miami, Cristiano Ronaldo asserted that the Saudi Pro League is superior to the Major League Soccer.

According to the former Manchester United attacker, “European football had lost a lot of quality.”

In a ceremony on Sunday evening in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Inter Miami presented Lionel Messi (front-left), who was joined on stage by co-owner David Beckham (right).

However, after being humiliated by Celta Vigo in a preseason friendly on Monday by a score of 5-0, Ronaldo gave a direct assessment of his future. He said he would not be moving to the United States or returning to Europe and claimed responsibility for the influx of players to the Middle East.

He claimed that the Saudi league was superior than the MLS, according to Fabrizio Romano.

I’m positive beyond a doubt that I won’t join another European club. All the players are now flocking here since I opened the door to the Saudi league.

The door to playing in Europe is permanently closed, he continued.

“I’m 38 years old, and the quality of European football has greatly declined.” The Premier League is the only league in my opinion that has a lot of talent and performs at a higher level than all the others.

“The Spanish league is not of that high caliber.” The Portuguese league is a respectable league but not the best league in the world. I believe the German league has also suffered greatly. There’s no way I’ll ever play in Europe again. I’d like to perform in Saudi Arabia.

Al-Nassr, his team, nearly lost to Al-Ittihad for the Saudi Pro League championship last season, but this week FIFA prevented them from signing new players when they failed to pay £390,000 in add-ons for former Leicester star Ahmed Musa.

Despite this, the club signed Marcelo Brozovic before the suspension was put into effect in early July, and a deal for Hakim Ziyech has also been widely rumored.

More and more elite athletes would travel to Saudi Arabia in a year, the Portuguese great said. The Saudi league will surpass the Turkish and Dutch leagues in a year.

“Players who arrived aren’t like what the European Union president said,” Young players Jota and Neves.

Several well-known athletes have followed Ronaldo to the Saudi Pro League this season, including Karim Benzema (pictured).

Ronaldo appears to have reiterated that he will stay in Al-Nassr for the foreseeable future, despite significant speculation over his future.

Son Heung-min said last week that he had declined an offer to join a Saudi Pro League squad.

Riyad Mahrez’s request for Manchester City to pay Al-Ahli’s £18 million was rejected on Monday.

I think the Saudi league is far superior than the United States, Ronaldo said in response to the question of whether he would move to the MLS. I play for Al-Nassr.

“It’s 100%. It’s true,’ Ronaldo declared. It was supposed to take a year, but it only took six. For six months, I was mistaken.

“But I knew this was going to happen because the Italian league was similarly lifeless when I arrived there before becoming active again.

Where Cristiano goes, there is more curiosity, and I knew it would be that way. I have no doubt that more celebrities will visit Saudi Arabia in the upcoming season.
